Welcome to Ms.Johnson's School Psychology Webpage!
This site was created as a resource for parents and school staff. I currently serve Kingswood and Mills Park Elementary Schools.
I moved to North Carolina in 2007 from western NY and began working for WCPSS. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from SUNY Fredonia and master's degree in School Psychology from Niagara University. My husband Ryan is a WCPSS counselor. We have two daughters, Madilyn and Corinne, and a dog named Scout.
I love my job and the unique challenges each day brings. As a School Psychologist, I help students to succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. I collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students. In general, a school psychologist is someone who specializes in learning, and more specifically, what prevents children from learning to their fullest potential.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
